This is the last day of the 3rd quarter with only one more quarter to go. I have really enjoyed this year! In English we have a parts of speech unit to cover and only one more paper to go: the persuasive essay. In 7th reading we will cover some nonfiction material and end the year with a great novel, Ishi. In 8th reading we will cover some nonfiction material and end the year with another great novel, White Fang (one of my favorites). Summer is just around the corner (well the weather doesn't look like it today) but it will be here before we know it!

Thanksgiving Vacation

Only 2 1/2 days until Thanksgiving vacation! You deserve a much needed break to celebrate all of the things you are thankful for with your family. What are you thankful for?

Today is the last day of September and I can't believe how quickly the month has gone. This year has been great so far and the kids are so pleasant to be around. Looking forward to a great October!

Welcome back to school!

Welcome back to the first day of school tomorrow! Looking forward to seeing all of your wonderful faces.

My daughter is leaving and I am sad. Had a ham dinner and some family over. We had a great time and look forward to being together again.

Today

My daughter came home last night for four days. It will be a short visit but we are having a nice time. Going fishing tomorrow.
